Idle Dice

A dice-rolling incremental from solo developer Lutsgames that sells itself on genuine randomness, then spends its entire upgrade tree quietly smoothing that randomness away — and the game is more interesting for admitting it can't have both.

Idle Miner Tycoon

Kolibri Games' decade-old mobile idle didn't just popularise the miner-elevator-warehouse loop, it more or less invented the template every mining incremental since has copied. Ten years and a Ubisoft acquisition later, the loop still works — the monetisation menu and the interface built on top of it are where the wear shows.

MapleStory Worlds

Nexon's Roblox Studio-style pivot for its 250-million-lifetime-player MapleStory IP — drag-and-drop and Lua-scripted creator tools built on 30 million ready-made assets, backed by real creator funding programs, and still working out an economy that pays creators less per sale than several of its platform peers.

MARVEL SNAP

The best-designed digital card game in years, attached to an acquisition economy where the complaint isn't that you can pay to win — it's that you can't reliably pay to get the card you want at all.

Mr.Mine

A free idle mining game about drilling straight down instead of resetting to start over — Playsaurus's other idle series trades Clicker Heroes' ascension loop for one continuous 2,500km descent. What that costs the game, and what its ticket economy actually sells.

Nonstop Knight 2

Kopla Games' minimalist auto-run dungeon crawler grew a sequel's worth of heroes, guilds and elemental gear over seven years of live support, and the one thing that didn't survive the expansion is the thing its name promised.

Shakes and Fidget

The idle RPG's grandparent, still running seventeen years on and still launching new worlds every few weeks — with a comic-fantasy charm that holds up and an economy built entirely around the moment a fresh leaderboard makes spending feel urgent.

StarSavior

A turn-based hero collector that grafts Uma Musume's training sim onto Honkai: Star Rail-style combat, with presentation to match — undercut by optimisation problems and a PvP ladder that leans harder on spending than its otherwise generous gacha deserves.

StoneAge Idle Adventure

Netmarble folds its 25-year-old dinosaur-taming franchise into an idle deck-builder, and the 24-unit battles are genuinely more tactical than the "auto-play RPG" label suggests — right up until the real-time PvP mode starts pricing in who's willing to spend.

Torchlight: Infinite

A free seasonal ARPG that borrows the Torchlight name and little of its soul, built instead around a genuinely deep hero-trait talent system, gacha pets that quietly cross the line the developer said it wouldn't cross, and a trade market that taxes you on the way out.

Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money

East Side Games' 2017 licensed idle tycoon turns Sunnyvale Trailer Park into a business-management loop, wraps its prestige reset in the show's own running joke about jail, and is still getting seasonal updates on mobile nine years later — even after its Steam PC version was quietly abandoned and delisted.

Whiteout Survival

A frozen-apocalypse city-builder that plays fair for the first month and then quietly hands the server to whoever's alliance has the deepest wallets — the honest question isn't whether it's generous early on, it's where that generosity actually stops.

AFK Arena

The game that put "idle" in front of a whole generation of mobile RPGs is still being patched weekly seven years on, folded this year into a "Companions" relaunch that reunites its oldest servers — underneath the fresh coat of paint, its gacha economy is still one of the harsher ones in the genre it helped invent.

Endless Frontier

A 2018 Korean idle RPG that's still pulling a 4.3-star average from 153,000 Google Play reviews eight years on, built around a twelve-unit auto-battle roster and a genuinely layered guild-and-arena social game — undercut by a permanent roster cap, a bolted-on NFT feature, and a client that hasn't been updated since the studio's attention moved to its own sequel.

Idle Heroes

A decade-old idle gacha RPG whose real currency was never gold, it was your own heroes — and the star-fusion system that consumes them is both the smartest thing about the game and the reason its economy is so hard to defend.

Idle Research

A free chemistry-themed incremental from a solo mobile developer, with real scale on Android and iOS and a stalled, near-invisible Steam release that has sat in Early Access for four years while its developer's attention has moved to an unannounced sequel.
