Monsters Idle RPG

A US$2.99 solo-dev idle collectathon — Pokemon's capture loop grafted onto a Forager-style island economy — that Steam's own review corpus calls "Mixed" for reasons that are mostly about launch-week polish, not the underlying design, from a developer who patched hard for five months and then quietly moved on to other projects.

Idle Cave Miner

Cold Hours' free pixel-art clicker nails a charming opening few hours, then buries its own idle promise under an offline-time cap, an autoclicker-favouring economy and a premium currency that gates full completion.

Phantom Signal

Veslo Games' web-of-relays base defence owes an open debt to the Kongregate flash classic The Space Game, and for a handful of missions that inheritance is a genuine strength. Fifty-two achievements and a leaderboard have sat broken since the developer went quiet in 2018, and the sixteen-mission campaign runs out of new ideas well before it runs out of missions.

Stellar Settlers: Space Base Builder

A hamster-cage colony sim where you build both across and up through a planet's crust, then cap every map off with a physics-based rocket launch — a genuinely novel structure let down by AI-generated portraits, math bugs in its own production formulas, and a patch history that goes almost silent the week after full release.

Worldcrusher - a survival clicker game

Talentless Person Games' pocket-sized clicker sends you smashing other planets apart to rebuild the home you lost, over a LoFi soundtrack and a run that's done in about an hour. It's a pleasant enough hour for the asking price, but "survival" in the title oversells a game with no hunger, health or threat system anywhere in it.

The Grave Digger

A distinctive stealth-puzzle game about robbing graves while dodging vengeful ghosts, genuinely enjoyed for its original concept, undercut by real complaints about unreadable low- quality graphics settings, divisive humor, and rough voice acting.

Goldclicking

A NZ$1.43 pixel-art clicker about tapping a gold bar, buying pickaxes and mine carts across six palette-swapped regions, and running two short bonus minigames — checked a week after launch, with no prestige loop found anywhere in its own achievement list.

Sin Slayers: Reign of The 8th

A turn-based roguelite RPG that quietly relaunched after the original 2020 Sin Slayers was pulled from Steam, offering free replacement keys to affected owners, but running into the same grindy pacing and shallow combat complaints that dogged the original, alongside new balance and UI issues from the rebuild itself.

SPACE / MECH / PILOT

A free idle game built around a genuinely beloved, emotionally resonant story about a cat companion named Kato, undercut by real, specific complaints that the idle mechanics are shallow and don't actually work offline, plus a screen-flashing effect some reviewers say risks monitor burn-in.

Aurye Clicker

A NZ$14.80 clicker whose real product is tradeable Steam Marketplace drops, with a Mixed 61% score, an official "English" language listing contradicted by its own screenshots, and an achievement curve where even the easiest of 80 trophies clears for barely a quarter of owners.

The Soul Collector 2 - Idle Game

A three-person GDevelop sequel about executing villagers and farming their souls, honest and unpretentious about what it is — but every one of its handful of Steam reviews so far is negative, and they converge on the same two complaints, an achievement curve that backs both up.
