Recommended level: roughly 250–288. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.
The region
Where the titans fell, and where they stayed. The Barrens are a graveyard at a scale that turns skeletons into terrain — the ribcage road runs through one, the skull cathedral is exactly what it says. Bonehearth's hunters live off the leavings.
The region's encounters are the game's heaviest-hitting outside the Sanctum approach; treat every fight as a boss rehearsal.
Settlements
Towns are safe ground — hostile creatures will not follow you past the boundary.
| Settlement | Character | Services |
|---|---|---|
| Bonehearth | hunter camp | General store |
Landmarks
- The Skull Cathedral — A titan’s skull, tall as a chapel; hunters camp in its jaw.
- The Ribcage Road — The road runs beneath a titan’s ribs for half a mile.

Getting here
The Titanfall Barrens sits east of Aurorafell, with The Cindermaw beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
