Wanderer is a free idle fantasy RPG set in a persistent multiplayer world shaped like a single road. Players walk east through 32 hand-built pixel-art regions — fighting, mining, smithing and building — and keep progressing while away: the server simulates their chosen activity with the live game's rules. No energy systems, no daily chores; optional purchases speed progress but never sell gear or levels. Playable in any browser and on Android.

Longer description

Wanderer strips the MMO down to one honest axis: a road. It begins in the green basin of Wanderer's Rest and ends — twenty thousand tiles later — at the Forgotten Sanctum, with every region between hand-placed: a black fen with a drowned king, an empire's fallen capital, a coast of wrecked fleets, a graveyard of titans. Distance is difficulty, and a player's furthest-east record is their trophy.

Progress comes three ways, all real: active play (tap-to-move, fights, crafting errands), attended idle (pick a travel mode and watch), and offline (the server replays your chosen activity — exploring, hunting, mining, smithing — under live rules while you're gone). The crafting chain runs from pickaxe to furnace to anvil to tempering bench; gear spans 26 tiers and six quality grades; skills run to level 500. It is deliberately a game that respects being put down — and rewards being picked back up.

Wanderer is designed, built and operated by one independent developer, ships updates several times a week, and runs its whole world — server, site and blog — on hardware the developer owns.
