Recommended level: roughly 23–38. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.
The region
Grimvale is a mood — a narrow, fog-choked gorge where the cliffs lean in and visibility drops to a lantern's reach. It is deliberately the first squeeze in the corridor: the level band jumps into the mid-twenties and the waystation halfway through is the only safe ground until the gorge opens out. The old battlefield and the high bridge are worth the detour for the loot tables alone.
Travel advice: don't push the gorge on low health. The fog hides encounters until they're on top of you, and the walk back from a defeat is long.
Settlements
Towns are safe ground — hostile creatures will not follow you past the boundary.

Landmarks
- The Ruined Bridge — A collapsed span over the gorge — a deadly choke point.
- The Old Battlefield — Bones and broken wagons — travellers who never made it.

Getting here
Grimvale sits east of Greyfell Hills, with Blackfen beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
