The Gilded Vale

Past the dusk the sun returns: tall gold grass, amber groves and the empire’s broken Sun-Gate.

Recommended level: roughly 145–170. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.

The region

Past the dusk, the sun comes back. The Gilded Vale is the corridor's deep breath — tall gold grass, amber groves, the frontier town of Dawnfall with full services, and light that makes screenshots look like promotional art without trying. Don't mistake gentle light for gentle country: the vale's band runs 145–170.

Dawnfall's forge makes the vale a major smithing stop; the road between here and Sporewood is one of the best XP-per-hour stretches in the frontier.

Settlements

Towns are safe ground — hostile creatures will not follow you past the boundary.

Landmarks

  • The Sun-Gate — The empire’s shattered eastern arch; dawn shows through the break.
  • The Herd Stones — Standing stones worn smooth by wild herds scratching their flanks.

Getting here

The Gilded Vale sits east of The Dusk Frontier, with Sporewood beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
