Recommended level: roughly 232–268. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.
The region
A black mountain pass climbed through ore terraces the old miners cut and the new miners died reclaiming. Deepwatch Hold burrows into the cliff; the underway gate seals what the mountain found. For miners this is the richest rock in the game short of the Cindermaw.
The pass is vertical, narrow, and patrolled — the classic Wanderer squeeze, at level 232–268.
Settlements
Towns are safe ground — hostile creatures will not follow you past the boundary.
| Settlement | Character | Services |
|---|---|---|
| Deepwatch Hold | mining hold | General store, Blacksmith (furnace, anvil & tempering bench) |
Landmarks
- The Underway Gate — A sealed gate into the mountain’s dark; Deepwatch mines around it, never through it.
- The Ore Terraces — Stepped cliffs veined with ore, worked by lamplight.

Getting here
Gloamspire Pass sits east of The Blightmarrow, with Aurorafell beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
