Crownwatch March

A guarded frontier threshold beyond the Hollow Crown, where old watch roads still hold.

Recommended level: roughly 69–90. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.

The region

Beyond the Crown the corridor changes character: this is the frontier now, and Crownwatch March is its fortified threshold. The Gate town is a proper border post — blacksmith, store, thick walls — and the last place that feels like the old kingdom. The Broken Mile east of it earns its name.

Stock up here. The regions beyond are long, and safe ground gets rarer the further the frontier stretches.

Settlements

Towns are safe ground — hostile creatures will not follow you past the boundary.

Getting here

Crownwatch March sits east of The Hollow Crown, with Greymill Crossing beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
