Recommended level: roughly 52–70. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.
The region
The Cinderlands are the end of the old world's comfort. Lava seams glow through cracked basalt, ash storms shorten the horizon, and Cinderwatch war camp is less a town than a fortified pause. The Ashen Fortress and the Fallen Colossus are two of the corridor's great sights — and two of its nastiest ambush grounds.
This is the region where offline planning starts to matter. Set a deliberate offline mode before you put the game down; the Cinderlands punish an idle explorer harder than anywhere before them.
Settlements
Towns are safe ground — hostile creatures will not follow you past the boundary.
| Settlement | Character | Services |
|---|---|---|
| Cinderwatch | war camp | Blacksmith (furnace, anvil & tempering bench) |
Landmarks
- The Black Fortress — A blackened fortress; the Emberlord rules the ash.
- The Fallen Colossus — A shattered giant statue across the wastes.

Getting here
The Cinderlands sits east of Hoarfell Reach, with The Hollow Crown beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
