Old Veyr

A half-dead city of broken markets, old chapels and streets reclaimed by roots.

Recommended level: roughly 96–122. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.

The region

A half-dead city, still half-alive: Old Veyr's broken markets and chapels shelter both a working town and the things that moved into the ruined quarters. It is the corridor's best introduction to urban fighting — short sight lines, dense encounters, loot in every collapsed arcade. The pale orchard outside the walls is quieter, and stranger.

The town's smithy and store make Old Veyr a genuine base: many players park their offline smithing here for the whole level-hundred band.

Getting here

Old Veyr sits east of Thornmere Fen, with Highmere Pass beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
