Recommended level: roughly 188–220. Monster strength in Wanderer rises steadily with distance east, so the west edge of a region is always gentler than its east edge.
The region
A titan forest older than every flag that ever claimed it. The first tree is a landmark you walk under rather than up to; Elderhollow's druids keep the only safe ground; the shafts of sun through the canopy are the region's whole colour palette. Bands run 188–220 and the forest's guardians are correspondingly serious.
The Eldenwood rewards the explorer's habit of leaving the road — its shrines sit deep in the trees, and so do its rarest drops.
Settlements
Towns are safe ground — hostile creatures will not follow you past the boundary.
| Settlement | Character | Services |
|---|---|---|
| Elderhollow | druid enclave | General store |
Landmarks
- The First Tree — Older than the empire, older than the road. The forest grew from it.
- The Root Shrine — Elderhollow’s druids leave offerings in a hollow beneath the roots.

Getting here
The Eldenwood sits east of The Sundering Field, with The Weeping Fen beyond its far border. Teleport scrolls (sold at Wanderer's Rest, 1,000 coins) can return you instantly to any town you have already discovered, which makes the first walk through a region the only slow one.
