Solasta: Crown of the Magister

A small Paris studio built a turn-based CRPG on Dungeons & Dragons' free 5.1 rules document rather than a paid brand license, and the result plays closer to an actual tabletop session than any of its bigger-budget rivals — verticality, light and darkness included — while looking and sounding like exactly the smaller production it is.

Solasta II

Tactical Adventures' sequel moves to Unreal Engine 5 and the newly revised SRD 5.2 ruleset, and its Early Access build proves the tactics still work — while making clear that a buyer today is paying full price for roughly ten hours of a much longer game still being built.
